You might think that I need her I just want something to remember Spending hours of my own time Telling friends what it feels like Your love don't follow me down Just bends and breaks my knees now A parked car and a long walk That's the only time that we talk I can't leave and I can't stay Feels like I'm wishing all my hours away Your love don't follow me down Just bends and breaks my knees now And I don't know What's making me scream I don't know What's making me scream Dirt track looking back Come singing back home Why should I shed a lie? Forget whatever you know I was only helping you down from this place I was only helping you down from this place And I don't know What's making me scream I don't know What's making me scream Take your time Do it again now Hold these words Sing it again now

She, she's got the look of LA She plays it down in her own time What can I say? And I know (and I know) She's not easy And I know (and I know) She can please me Baby, you think you wanna know why I think it's just a matter of taste and before it's too late You turn it around turning up that frown She, she buys her life every day She makes no money but burns it to see what I say But I try (but I try) To believe it But I try (but I try) To eat it Baby, you think you wanna know why I think it's just a matter of taste and before it's too late You turn it around turning up that frown
